Visions of Sugar Plums

I purchased two different gingerbread house kits this year.

Then we added some additional candy.
My kids had so much fun... What a mess...

But it was worth it.

So fun! I want to do this (when my kids are like ten). (And possibly, at school, so that they aren't helping me.) Wait, does that defeat the point?

This looks very fun, I haven't purchased one before, I always had the failure of graham crackers and the wrong kind of icing! I hope the time off has been great and that you have a great new years celebration. Is the wine from your vinyard available everywhere or only there in CA? Oklahoma just passed a law that allows sellers to stock wines that are not from wholesalers so more wines will actually make it into our state. Just curious...! Happy New Year..I look forward to more blog fun with you in 2009!

I am so grateful to Octamom for all that she is and does. I told her last night on the phone that I am so grateful to her for being able also to meet new friends, good ones through her blog. That is how I found you...or you found me. I looked back at the posts and I saw your first comment but don't know when mine was to you. I doesn't matter, what a fun way to meet someone! I look forword to more posts, be thinking of when and what you want to post about!

Those look scrumptious! I especially like the A-frame...I've never seen one like that before. My boys and I have never taken on one of these before; we may have to try this next year!

Have a great New Year, Elle!

Those look great! I've never tried a gingerbread house, but perhaps next year. I'm always afraid I'll end up eating all the part before anything gets constructed to decorate :)

Happy New Year!
