Great idea... captures the essence of giving!!
This is perfect...I have wanted my boys to have a yearly project that we can do together, but in which they can participate individually.
Our old church did a thing for families in the community where each member of every family had a tag with a Christmas wish hanging on a tree in our church. We would each go pick our own tag (the boys would pick one for a boy their respective ages) and we'd provide those gifts.
I have missed that ministry opportunity. But this sounds like a perfect alternative!
What a great tradition for your children to look forward to! I bet that letter was amazing!
